Watches & Wonders 2022 First Impression

Hey everyone ✌🏻!

Watches and Wonders is back physically and I have been waiting for this watch fair to finally begin. Its layout is very similar to the 2019 edition however we have some new participating brands (e.g. Rolex, Patek, Chopard, LVMH Watch Brands and many more)

First Impression so far: Its fantastic
I love being back and the great thing about the fair is that firstly everyone is very nice and open and secondly I got to meet all of you that I have been talking to via IG. But of course that’s not all I’m here for the watches 😎. From what I can tell all the brands are super happy with the fair. I’ve noticed that besides press/media and retailers there are lot’s of clients and vip customers including fans of brands.

The fair is divided into 3 parts, the “old” SIHH members, the micro brands and the former “Baselworld” participants. IWC and their CEO Chris Grainger-Herr have created an impressive booth held in black and white making it super clean. They’ve managed to build a construction of containers that are stacked upon each other reaching a hight of 14m. The former Basel members managed to reuse their former Baselworld booth bringing back some nostalgia 😅.

Watch wise there have been several novelties that I most certainly go into deep in the next articles however I’d already like to mention the following pieces:

Parmigani Tonda GMT Rattrapante – impressive!
A Lange & Söhne Odysseus Titanium – I love it!
Vacheron Constantin Overseas 222 – solid gold
Tudor Blackbay Pro – very cool!
