I haven’t always been drawn to watches. Especially when I was a kid I didn’t really have a connection to watches in any form whatsoever. Since then a lot has changed.
I grew up in a family, where watches play a big role in our everyday life, business and at home. My great grand-father started to make watch-straps from old leather left overs from the shoe industry back in the 1950’s and started selling them to local jewellers and watchmakers in Austria. He was the one that got me into watches, telling me all about them and showing me the mechanics. The company quickly grew to the industries leader in watch strap manufacturing. I spent a lot of time in the factory in my spare time and used to work in the production every summer. (I think your getting the picture 😉 )
The real fun began, when I was packaging Panerai bracelets, that was the moment the spark sprung over. From that day on I was super interested into watchmaking and the processes that goes into such a watch, but the real thing that fascinated me the most was the versatility the bracelet gave the watch. Even the slightest change can make a huge difference.
Since then, i have been to numerous watch fairs, visited watch brands, accumulated a small collection of my own and designed and created a lot of bracelets.
