With the current hype on sports watches nearly all of the big brands are trying to create their own version. This is why on the 24th of October 2019 – A Lange und Söhne released their steel sports watches – Odysseus.
In my Opinion a very classic and DNA filled Lange watch, with only one flaw – the metal bracelet. In my opinion it just doesn’t fit to the Lange and don’t get me wrong I love A Lange und Söhne for their creativity and classical yet somewhat sporty elegant designs. My favorite is the Zeitwerk of course and this is also the reason why I find the Odysseus so attractive.
The Dial with the classic Lange big window design on both the Day and Date functionality makes this watch so appealing to me. In addition the beautiful blue dial creates a very classical yet still fairly sporty image of the watch.
From my styling perspective I’d appreciate a 100m water resistant leather strap. Preferably alligator or something equivalent I’d also think that the HIRSCH Ian perfomance strap (a combination between caoutchouc and alligator leather) would look fantastic on this watch, giving it a classic yet sport look.
The watch will be available beginning of November 2019.
